Naidvar Trust Fund Supports Zorkor-Tarongo Basic School I McBashMedia


Naidvar Trust Fund, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that is into music and culture has rendered support to Zorkor-Tarongo Basic School in the Bongo District of the Upper East Region with the ultimate goal of teaching and learning in the school an easy one.

The Executive Director of Naidvar Trust Fund, Mr Augustine Anamsakeya Akugre indicated that his outfit decided to replace the wooden doors of the school with metal ones to make sure school properties are safely kept for posterity. Mr Akugre added that been an alumni of the school has paved way for him to know all the challenges facing his alma mater and therefore the urgent need to support fix them. 

Naidvar Trust Fund also provided thirty dual desks  as well as six drums for the school to reduced the incidence of no furniture in Zorkor-Tarongo Basic School. He reiterated that his outfit is ever ready to support the school in whatever capacity with the aim of energizing the pupils to be committed in their academic activities. 


The Headteacher of Zorkor-Tarongo Basic School, Mr Raphael Akanboyuure  could not hide his joy and therefore thanked Naidvar Trust Fund for their kind gesture. He further charged stakeholders in the education sector to come to the aid of the school with teaching and learning materials (TLM) in order to improve upon teaching and learning in the school.

The Chief of Zorkor Tarongo Naba David Ayeta the second thanked Naidvar Trust Fund and School Improvement Team, a group of old Pupils of the Zorkor-Tarongo Basic School for their swift intervention in solving problems confronting the school. The Assembly Member of the area, Hon Patrick Aduko. also use the occasion to naidvar Trust Fund and School Improvement Team for the wonderful things they have done. 


He moreover charged parents to invest adequately in the education of their wards more especially the girl child. The admonished the  youth to venture into meaningful activities and stay away from social vices such as smoking, heavy intake of ethanol, hard drugs and teenage pregnancy.

The President of School Improvement Team, Mr Christopher Amigangre Ayambire also called on all old Pupils of Zorkor-Tarongo Basic School to always contribute their widow's mite towards the development of the school. 

A smock was presented to Mr Augustine Anamsakeya Akugre, the Executive Director of Naidvar Trust Fund and an old boy of the school to show their appreciation for all what his outfit is doing for the school. 


In a related development, School Improvement Team, a group of old Pupils of the school also donated seven computers and it's accessories to the school to improve upon the teaching and learning of ICT in the school. The Headmaster of Zorkor-Tarongo Junior High School thanked the group and therefore indicated in 2019, scored 42%(30 candidates), in 2020, 16% ( 56 candidates) and 21% 2021 with 62 candidates, a situation he blamed parents and teachers for not being on top of issues in controlling the children as well as lack of teaching and learning materials in the school.
