'Blackee' Walks After A Decade Of Lying On His Back l McBashMedia

Mr. Nabong who hails from Nabugubelle but stays in Tumu has been suffering from a spinal problem that has made him immobile was relieved from the intervention of Mr. Mohammed Balu Salia, the general manager of Radford FM. Mr. Nabong who is popularly known as Blackee has stayed in Tumu for many years. Below is the picture of Blackee before Mohammed Balu met him.

After a successful surgery on him, Mr. Blackee visited Mr. Mohammed Balu at his office but this time on his feet, someone who could not walk for over a decade was able to walk with little support to the studios of Radford FM to thank the manager for his intervention.

 The manager of Radford FM could not hide his happiness after seeing Blackee walking and took to Facebook to break the news, here is what he wrote on his Facebook wall;

 "This is me with my Snr 'Blackee' in 2015 whom I met several years ago, he became bench ridden after suffering from a condition of the spine he could only lie on the back.

One day Dr. Dakura, a neurosurgeon came to Tumu under the  auspices of Tumu kuoro, we organised to have him see Blackees condition, he offered his advice together with Dr. Sibri and others and today after over two decades of lying on his back, Blackee walked to me to show me how he walks now 

Never give up, we are now waiting on him to marry."

A young and practicing midwife who works at the Tumu Municipal Hospital saved the life of a woman in labour by the roadside. She had to work without any medical equipment but still demonstrated great skill to save the life of the unborn baby as well as the mother.    Madam Nawiadima Samankina was seen trying her best to deliver the baby by the street while balancing her own child on her back. She had to cut short her own schedule as soon as she saw the struggling woman on the street. The action took place in a town called Tumu in the Sissala East Municipality of the Upper West Region.
