Viral video that Captured the MP Saying Kuffour secured the funding for the Rural Electrification Project was TRUE?

Verdict: Available information from various sources suggests that what the MP said was true and there are sources to prove it. 

Full text: The member of parliament for Sissala East Hon. Amidu Chinnia is one of the guest speakers for their maiden youth and TEACON inauguration wing in Sissala East, the program was well attended by many patrons and party executives from both district and region. 

Hon. Chinnia was to give a speech to encourage the youth and Tescon wings to fight for the party to break the 8 and 4 in Sissala East, in his speech, he made several revelations including the funding source. He said President Kuffour and the then member of parliament Hon. Moses Dani Baah were the brains behind the securing of funding for the projects, the project targeted over 2,000 communities from being connected to the national grid. 

He said the loan agreement was passed in parliament before the NPP lost power in 2008. He further said the details are captured by parliamentary documents for 2008.

Verification: Available data from Ghanaweb and modern Ghana has confirmed the claim made by the MP, there is a story on Ghanaweb giving details to the intended project dated 17 September 2008, an amount of 350 million dollars. There is also another story from modern Ghana dated 27 April 2010, in the story, the then deputy minister of Energy Hon. Emmanuel Ama Kofi Buah confirmed who secured the funding but was however quick to say that the agreement was inflated.
