NUSS, Kumasi Campus welcome freshers to UEW.

NUSS which is an acronym for National Union of Sissala Students today had their first meeting to officially welcome the level 100s to campus. The meeting which started at around 11:30am at the TL block on the university of Education Kumasi campus saw the attendance of current executives, some level 200, 300 and majority of them were level 100s.
In the welcome address of the vice chairman for the union Mr. Gbollu Gebriel Peter, He welcomed the level 100s and asked for their forgiveness for not attending to them on the opening week, he said problems were beyond the executives that was why they could not attend to them. He also advised them to take their studies serious since that was the main reason that brought them to  school, he ended by congratulating them and thanked them for honoring the meeting. In reaction to a question the president said the union existed several years at the main campus Winneba but was officially lauched in Kumasi campus early this year
The other executives advised them to attend classes and take every assignment seriously, the Deputy secretary Mr. Obed Juatong disabused their minds that in University tutors don't mark examination papers. Other issues of how to stay on campus were all discussed, security and how they should make new friends on campus since a lot of people move round the campus pretending to be students but are not.

Some of the level 100s who were present suggested that the current executives should work harder to make the union vibrant on campus by marketing it on air and social media, they also said the executives should assist members when they need arises. The meeting ended with a closing prayer.
