The member of Parliament for the Talensi Constituency, Hon. B. T. Baba continued with his long established practice of supporting the Muslim community within the Talensi Constituency during their annual fasting season and other festive occasions, has in this month of purification, procured about 17 bags of sugar, 18 cartons of milk and 13 cartons of Lipton for distribution to Muslims in the Constituency to aid them in their mandatory religious practice of fasting and prayers.

The Constituency Chairman, the Hon. John Millim Nabwomya who received the items together with his Secretary, Mr. Augustine Guure and Communication Officer, Michael Nangena  respectively caused the Zongo Caucus Coordinator, Mr. Alhaji Ibrahim Aguuse and the Youth Organizer, Mr. Isaac Yidan to do the presentation to the beneficiaries on behalf of the donor, the Hon. M.P. for our beloved Constituency, Benson Tongo Baba affectionately called B T Baba. 


 The duo were also supported by Sunday Banamariyina, a Constituency Executive member in the distribution. The items were distributed to all Muslims across the Constituency and Talensi Muslim community in the Bolga abattoir.

 On their parts, the leaderships of the various mosques in the Constituency expressed their profound gratitude to the Hon. M.P. for his continuous and consistent supports to them at every step of their religious lives and practices and thus, prayed for Allah's blessings upon him.

A young and practicing midwife who works at the Tumu Municipal Hospital saved the life of a woman in labour by the roadside. She had to work without any medical equipment but still demonstrated great skill to save the life of the unborn baby as well as the mother.    Madam Nawiadima Samankina was seen trying her best to deliver the baby by the street while balancing her own child on her back. She had to cut short her own schedule as soon as she saw the struggling woman on the street. The action took place in a town called Tumu in the Sissala East Municipality of the Upper West Region.
