EDUCATION: NSAFOACARE Donates an HP 3in1 Printers to GNATOC and NUGS Offices I Mcbashmedia

NSAFOACARE is a charity organization which started in the beginning months  of 2021, the organisation has since made several donations, supplies and have offered help to the needy students on campus of AAM-USTED. The CEO of NSAFOACARE Mr. Nsafoa Emmanuel was a NUGS aspirant in the just ended SRC/NUGs general elections. The CEO who also doubles as the NUGs aspirant yesterday made a presentation on behalf of his organisation to two prominent offices on campus. During the presentation, Mr. Nsafoa said the machine has a dual functions. In addition to the 3in1 printers he also provided a full box of surgical nosemasks and one park of A4 sheets each to both offices.  The first presentation was made at the NUGs office, Mr. Emmanuel was warmly received by the current NUGs president of AAM-USTED Mr. Effah K Tabire F who later thanked Mr. Nsafoa and his team and promised to put into proper use of his donations.  A similar donation was also made at the office of GNATOC, the same item which includ

  The aspiring member for TESCON president Mr. Isaac Friko Asunke in AAM-USTED said he is more committed to his polices and threw a challenge to TESCON members, saying they should vote and him and hold him responsible if he does not deliver his campaign promise. Mr. Isaac said the implementation of his policy number 1 and 3 respectively were the easiest because already there are a number of TESCON members doing national service at their places of choice, he said they  will do segregation and the numbers left will be looked at. Mr. Asunke said, through the district scholarships scheme, the GetFund scholarship majority of the members will be given this scholarships. Tumu Town Gets A New Roundabout at Bolga Junction I Mcbashmedia

  Tumu is a town located in the Upper West region of Ghana, it shares boundaries with Gwollu to the West and Upper East to the East, Burkina Faso to the North and Walembelle to the south. Most residents in Tumu are predominantly farmers with few teachers and nurses, it is one of the oldest districts created within the region.  The community lucks a number of social infrastructure causing the community to be under developed even though it was created after the regional capital Wa in the region. The community have inadequate roundabouts, it only has one located around Kubaru base.  A youth group within Tumu calling itself Freedom Avenue Base this week did what most people could not do, the base have through their own resources and energy mounted a huge roundabout at Bolga junction in Tumu, is the junction that links those coming from Wa, Pulima, Dimajan and Tumu Town together. The roundabout was without any sign to show that it was a junction, it was like this before the intervention.  N

  Miss Abdallah Firdaus Is a student of Akenten Appiah Menka university of skills training and entrepreneurial development (AAM-USTED) and contesting for the position of TESCON WOCOM, she has been a ladies advocate since her childhood.  Miss Firdaus has been an active member since her level 100 time up to date, she has taken part in all TESCON activities on AAM-USTED.   Nana Nsafoa exchanging greetings with ASU hene.  The Ashanti Students Union (ASU) who yesterday held their second meeting enstooled sub chiefs to help the ASU hene in performing his duties, is a tradition in the Ashanti kingdom where sub chiefs are enstooled to perform specific functions under the king.  During yesterday's meeting in front of Opoku Ware I hall, a number of chiefs were enstooled from the association to hall presidents. Nicholas Sowah wins AAM-USTED GNATOC Chairmanship race I Mcbashmedia

GNATOC elections were conducted freely and fairly yesterday, voting started quarter pass 10am due to some issues.  This time round polling stations were divided into three stations, level 400s and 100s had one polling station, level 200s had one full polling station and level 300s also had one poling station. At  the end of voting Nicholas Sowah won in all three polling station. The aggregation of the three polling station results were as follows; Peter Otabil got a total of 352 valid votes, Addai Thomas got 35 valid votes, Joseph Armstrong got 244 valid votes and Nicholas Sowah got a total of 595 valid votes, total valid votes stood at 1226 votes.  Mr. Nicholas Sowah is now the new GNATOC chairman elect for the 2020/2021 academic year, he will take over from Benjamen.

  The Ghana National Association of Teachers on Campus (GNATOC) is going for a second round of voting after voting was truncated On the 12th February, 2020. Today again the association will be going for anther elections to elect its leaders to man the affairs of the association, all the four portfolios have been filed by 14 qualified candidates.  The position of GNATIC chair have four candidates running for the position; Mr. Peter Otabil, Mr. Thomas Addai, Joseph Armstrong Baidoo and Mr. Nicholas Sowah.  That of Secretary have five contestants namely;   Mr. Apraku Daniel, Mr. Frank-Simons Dadzie, Miss Torgbenu Olivia Abla, Mr. Rexford Kwaku Gyamfi, Issac Akolgo Akugre. The Treasurer position have only two namely; Miss Lydia Yibie and Miss Esther Adjei. First AAM-USTED Lecturer to Take Covid-19 Vaccine Revealed I mcbashmedia

   After the last nations address by the president Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo who annouced the arrival of 600,000 covid-19 vaccine in Ghana, these vaccines has therefore been distributed to the first targeted groups. Out of these number, AAMUSTED clinic got 30 doses of the vaccine to the university clinic. Among lecturers to take this vaccine was the coordinator for liberal studies Mr. Kotor Asare. Mr. Kotor Asare who also teachers various courses at the university made his certificate public after taking his vaccine, he also revealed that the vaccination continues tomorrow at the university clinic for targeted staff of the school. The university had this to tell lecturers who went for the first vaccination;  " We would like to thank all those who availed themselves for the vaccination exercise today. The turnout was extremely impressive and at a point we had to go for additional vaccination cards from other centres because ours got finished.  God willing the exercise continues
