INFOTESS NEWS:Jones'McCarthy and Kofi Led 1st Achievement For The First Semester|mcbashmedia



The Information and Technology Education Student Society (INFOTESS)  is one of the association on AMMUSTED campus. It membership is compulsory to all students offering information and Technology Education in the campus, Mr Jones'McCarthy and Kofi Amofa are the current president and Vice President respectively of  the association. 

After taking over as the new lead of administration, the executives of INFOTESS quickly went to the drawing board to put things in order. At the beginning of the semester,they started on a bad note since all university lecturers went home demanding for better conditions of service. At this time, first year students of INFOTESS were most affected. 



The executive committee  quickly organized an orientation for level 100, it was one of the largest and well attended meeting so far. The orientation was organized under the theme " Freshers orientation" and over 650 level 100s attended on the 19th January, 2022. The orientations saw the presence of the association patrons Mr. Dr. William Aseidu and Mr. Maxwell Dorgbefu, Mr. George Asante the head of department, DR. Adasa Nkrumah the founder of INFOTESS, the SRC President Peter Henry Bernasco, Mr. Frimpong Nyaama the former INFOTESS president, and Mr. Nsafoa Emmanuel the local NUGS president of AAMUSTED plus all current executive of the association. Below are some of the evidence of the orientation; 


 


Because of the vision of the current administration, Mr. Kofi Amofa was also able to continue something that was done for the past years. They were able to organize community of practice to level 100s, this community of practice is organized to help members acquire practical skills outside the classroom. It also help to sometimes guide this students for self employment in their future lives, the facilities for the community of practice included a team of INFOTESS editorial board and a former student Mr. Boateng Ameyaw. Participants were taken through graphics designing website designing technology. It took place for about a week for both freshers and continuing students. 



Not only that, the Jones'McCarthy and Kofi Amofa led administration was able to organize catch up classes for level 100s and  some continuing students. The idea of this catch up classes was to help the students catch up with concepts and topics being taught in the formal classroom, to help members revise their notes and offered the opportunity for the level 100s especially to prepare them for university academic work since lecturers were on strike when school resumed. Evidence of the catch up classes are found below; 



Speaking to the current acting President of INFOTESS Mr. Kofi Amofa, he assured mcbashmedia the association is poised to raise the standard among their colleagues in other associations, he spoke to mcbashmwdia at the end of the semester to high their good works.
