Assembly Member Of Jeffisi Electoral Area Donates Gh¢5,000 To ASWAJ School l McBashMedia

The Assembly member of Jeffisi electoral area who also doubles as a professional Nurse Hon. Seidu Abudu Nyangbentu on the 1st of February, 2022 donated cash to one of the basic schools in his electoral area, the donation was received by some SME and PTA members of the basic school.

It all started when some members of ASWAJ made an appeal through the Assembly member to the district chief executive of Sissala West, they told him the school was not under government school feeding programme .The caretaker - Malam Yakubu and PTA members of the basic schools in Jeffisi also informed the assembly man how much they spend on yearly bases to feed the pupils. 


During one of their PTA meetings they asked the Assembly member to meet the DCE to help put the school on the feeding program. They said when that is done they would be free of the burden of taking on the feeding component. The PTA told him they spend Gh¢5,000 plus every year for feeding of the students.

 The assembly member through his personal efforts was able to support the school with an amount of 5,000 Ghana cedis to be able to feed the students for the year 2022, so that he will be able to do follow-ups at th assembly to see how government could absorb the school. Mr. Nyangbentu did the rotation some two days to his birthday.

A young and practicing midwife who works at the Tumu Municipal Hospital saved the life of a woman in labour by the roadside. She had to work without any medical equipment but still demonstrated great skill to save the life of the unborn baby as well as the mother.    Madam Nawiadima Samankina was seen trying her best to deliver the baby by the street while balancing her own child on her back. She had to cut short her own schedule as soon as she saw the struggling woman on the street. The action took place in a town called Tumu in the Sissala East Municipality of the Upper West Region.
